CLASSES / ELIGIBILITY
Super Hooligan: The Super Hooligan class is reserved for racers that have raced the SHNC previously and have demonstrated they can safely run the pace with the faster group, and to new riders with a proven resume. The SHNC retains the right to approve riders based upon their level of experience and ability. If you have not raced Super Hooligan before, you must be pre-approved by the SHNC to participate. Email firstname.lastname@example.org and submit a race history, prior race licensing and experience. AMA membership is mandatory to participate in the Super Hooligan Class.
Hooligan: Previously referred to as Hooligan AM. This class is for amateur level hooligans, first-timers and riders still learning how to get around the track quickly and consistently. The 2021 SHNC race series will feature Hooligan class at Round 2 - The Wild Ones, WA and Round 3- SoCal.
For the inaugural SHNC roadrace at Laguna Seca with MotoAmerica, and the half-mile finale race with AFT, we will be running Super Hooligan class only. Hooligan (amateur) classes will not be hosted at these events.
ROUND 1 ROAD RACE SPECS
Open to all manufactures 750cc multi-cylinder and above Street Bikes. Bikes must run 19” flat track wheels and tires front and back and weigh a minimum of 400lbs. For Road Race events bikes can 16"-19" front and rear wheels with DOT Tires. Bikes must maintain stock frames with no fabrication allowed to change the neck angle. No cutting subframes or fabricating shock relocation mounts. No front brakes on oval tracks, dual front disc brakes are mandatory for Road Race track.
Production high-bar street bikes only. Motorcycle must have come stock with top mounted risers and upright handlebars. No clip-on bikes permitted.
Twin cylinder 4 strokes, in any configuration, above 750cc
Three cylinder 2 strokes above 750cc permitted
Electric street legal production motorcycles with maximum 80 kW single motor. No MX or dual-sport type electric bikes allowed. Must conform to all other rules
Maximum claimed production horsepower rule of 125HP or less
Same bike to be used in all races, if a different bike is ridden rider will be penalized 10 points off Championship. VIN # will be checked.
Since the Road race is the first event, here are the basics of the rule mods for Road Racing (formal rules included in RULES link above):
CURRENT SHNC RACERS (IF YOU HAVE RACED A SUPER HOOLIGAN RACE IN THE PAST 2 YEARS)
If you are an existing SHNC racer we will require a road race license from your local road race track with a minimum of 3 races or approved race training from a certified race trainer.
NEW RACERS TO SUPER HOOLIGAN

Upon approval the SHNC will require a road race license from your local road race track with a minimum of 3 races or approved race training from a certified race trainer. AMA membership is a must.
Getting your road race license is as easy as contacting your local road race series, getting a bike prepped and getting to the track.

Private and Group training for road racing is available below. If your coach is certified for race training we will potentially accept a recommendation from your trainer depending upon prior experience. The SHNC reserves the right to approve all riders.
Bikes will need to be outfitted for road racing, as listed below:
16”-19" wheels are legal, DOT street or race tires are mandatory
Single or Dual front disc brakes
Front brake lever guard
Sprocket "Toe Guard" / "Shark Fin"
Rain Light Required
Full coverage belly pan for fluid containment (minimum 4 quart capacity)
Moto America / AMA / FIN/ Mission Foods sticker on front number plate
Transponder Mandatory - available for rent at racetrack with SHNC
Safety wire (ALL brake caliper mounting bolts, oil filter, oil fill cap, oil drain bolts) and various safety measures as specified by Moto America.
No glass allowed. Headlights, taillights, mirrors, etc. must be taped or removed.
Super Hooligan number plates on front and sides of bike
Recommended minimum 52 degrees of lean angle.
Road race leathers are mandatory. Moto America Logo needs to on riders leather suit on top left chest.
Pro’s: We love Pros! Some of us use to be them, so come race with us, take our money, claim your trophy and bask in all the glory that is being a Super Hooligan racer, however, if you are holding a current AFT card you will only be able to collect a paycheck at four rounds. You will not receive points at any rounds as not to disrupt the championship.
AGMTT (All Gear Most of the Time). Good condition helmets and eye protection. Full face Road Race style helmets are mandatory at half-mile and Road Race events. Motorcycle boots. Skid shoes are mandatory on dirt tracks. Leathers (pants and jacket) are mandatory at half-mile and Road Race events and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED at asphalt events. Gloves are mandatory, leather recommended.
Contingency paid only for the Super Hooligan Main Event.
The provided Official Super Hooligan number plate with your number must be mounted to front of motorcycle and attached in a way that it is secured to the motorcycle for the duration of the race.
Riders must display official Super Hooligan number plate with series sponsor branding to be eligible for any prizes. If any logos on number plates are covered, modified or otherwise made illegible, no contingencies will be paid to that rider. Championship points and trophies will be awarded, but contingencies and championship bonuses will not be paid. If a rider forfeits his contingencies, payouts will move to the next eligible rider.
Rider must sign RSD Super Hooligan National Championship rules and liability waiver in order to collect contingencies.
SHNC must receive a completed W-9 form from rider in order for contingency payments to be paid.
Same bike to be used in all 4 races, if a different bike is ridden for the Road Race rider will be penalized 10 points off the series Championship. VIN # will be checked.
